Kaka to City

Sky Sports are also reporting that Tottenham are in talks about a loan swap that would see Adriano join Tottenham, and Gareth Bale join Inter . Very strange day for transfers!!!

wouldn't it be cheaper for them to simply keep the same squad and buy all fourteen clubs currently above them via proxies and just let city always win.

Only cost a few billion (or about 20 kakas as they are now called)

haha very true

why aren't we cashing in on their insanity, if they're willing to pay triple of any given players reasonable value, surely they'll give atleast 2 mil for van der meyde.

In football money always trumps competence. Don't underestimate City, they'll take Chelsea's place after Roman sells the team.

I agree. It'd be cheaper to bribe and fix the league that it is to bring players to Citeh.

I wouldnt be surprised if he did got the Citeh with the numbers being thrown about. But one man dont make a team to be fair. They need an entire new defence and another 3 midfielders and strikers. And if I was a chairman of a club I would milk them for every penny they've got if they're willing to spend £100million on 1 player and give him 500K a week.

I hope they get [Poor language removed] religated this season.

I dont think the Chelsea comparrison is a good one to be fair. Yes they spent a lot and techinically bought the league. But what they did was over-spend on good to great team players and not world class brazillians. They didnt go out and try and buy Kaka, Zidane, Ronaldo etc Mourinho brought class players in that they could get. What Citeh are doing is just looking at the Brazil national team or the top ten greatest players on the planet list and then throwing money at them whether they need them or not. They dont need Kaka really, they need a new defence and a solid central defensive midfielder, not a 5ft attacking midfielder.

If Kaka signs for City for the reported £100 million, that will be the start of the demise of the Premier League. Great player but imo, no player is worth that much. A cap should be put in place regarding transfer fees before the situation spirals out of control.

I agree. My choice would be a cap on the value of the squad having agreed on the squad size. It's not perfect but it may restore a balance across the league. I don't see the likes of the sky 4 agreeing though.

Don't they have super rich mo fo's playin far more inferior forms of sport across the pond ?

maybe soccers just catching up with the NFL and NBA's of the world

***** this doesn't mean i agree with it by the way (y) *****

Ok, so lets just break this down.

Wages
£500,000 a week. That's £26m a year. Presumably he's going to be on a 5 year contract too, so £130m for 5 years worth of Kaka???

Ok, let's look at this further.

Training: 5 hours a day for 5 days
Match: 3 hours a week, on average.

So Kaka will be putting in 28 hours a week for £500,000

So Kaka's hourly rate is £17,857.

What can Kaka buy every hour?

(2005/) Mercedes-Benz E-Class Saloon unknown - £17,000 car for Sale, Suffolk, on DesperateSeller.co.uk

Its ruining football, and I can't wait for all these money men to [Poor language removed] and start their own league.

I think they will if Citeh are throwing about 30-40million each for player. The top 4 clubs only spend a large chunck on one player per season, if ever, because even they cant afford to spend 200million on 3 or 4 players in one transfer window (which Citeh can do). They whinge that its unfair - the FA and Uefa will listen and do something about it then.

Whatever Citeh do they will and always be a nothing team and it'll take decades, century's for them to anywhere near as successful as us, Villa, Arsenal, Manure and the [Poor language removed].

Arle Kaka's come out and said he wants to stay at Milan so he can become captain of the team.....

If Citeh's bid goes official and doesnt happen...they're going to look more foolish than they do now IMO.

Another luxury player for City, great news for City.

Kaka's a great individual but he's not someone fit to battle relegation in a physical League. I'm not even sure where he'd play for City, maybe behind one of there [Poor language removed] strikers. Even then they don’t have a Pirlo type player who’s going to get him into the positions he’s capable of hurting teams in. They have Kompany and Steven Ireland (who’s nowhere near as effective) in a deeper central midfield position.

City need some strong physical players who are battle to battle, players like Scotty Parker. Not the most gifted but certainly capable and he’ll give a 100%. Once they’ve got a base then they should add players of Kaka’s ilk.

They already have a lot of luxury players. I’m not worried about them one bit. I hope they don’t get him though.
