Young John got MOTM yesterday, comparing him to Rodwell is only relevant if he suddenly picks up 20 injuries.
Watched that match yesterday he played ok I didn't think he was motm myself he got caught a couple of times out of position and against better teams it could have cost them.

Watched that game, how they have him mom I dunno, done nowt special and ottamendi did most if the defending, had a few good runs with the ball though which had them gushing

Recent reports have prompted me to open this.

Given Moshiri was so public about our intent in the summer, it's a fair assumption we'll be looking at this lad again.

“I think the manager had seven names, four of those we got,”Moshiri said. “We tried to buy [Kalidou] Koulibaly of Napoli and they wanted £60m. It is monopoly money. We went right to the asking price and they decided not to sell.

He signed a new contract in September - it has a minimum fee release clause, apparently.

May as well close it again @GrandOldTeam

Chelsea are back in for him - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...ea-news-47m-bid-Kalidou-Koulibaly-failed.html

Unless we offer Jags in the deal so they have a replacement. lol lol

I'd already read that. I never read it as them being back in for him.

I read it as they tried, couldn't as there was no time for Napoli to find a replacement and signed Luiz instead.

Knocked back by Napoli, Chelsea instead plumped for David Luiz in a last-gasp summer transfer window deal.

Speaking to a local Naples radio station, Kiss Kiss Napoli, the defender's agent Bruno Satin said: 'Chelsea were interested but then they signed David Luiz and you also have John Terry and Gary Cahill at the club so there is a lot of competition there.

'We will see what happens. A lot of the improvements that Koulibaly has made in his game have been down to the coaching of Maurizio Sarri.

...a second transfer thread and the window isn't even open yet. I note a number of regurgitated rumours from recent windows, suggest it's easy to keep them all in one place at this stage.
