On and on, over the hill and the craic is good
Does any remember when we were always linked with Steve Bull and Matt le TissierWho was only the new Joao Moutinho, who was just the new Riquelme ... etc

..he does look ok this fella.
Yarmolenk-on.... Yarmolenk-off.He is becoming the new Yarmalenko
Bit of a beast isn't he
There's the one that got away. We should have been all over Alderweireld after his first season in England. It was infuriating to see him got to Spurs for £11m while we had to endure the likes of Alcaraz sabotaging our back line.
Back on topic.... VVD edges Koulibaly in my mind. He has prem experience, and we know he works well with Koeman.
Some on here would pick you ahead of Robles and Stek.... I'm not sure I would disagree with them....a beast with a Rolls Royce engine. 25 years of age who looks like he plays left side of CB partnership. Imagine him AND VvD, I reckon I could play in goal behind those two.

Are we in for both?...a beast with a Rolls Royce engine. 25 years of age who looks like he plays left side of CB partnership. Imagine him AND VvD, I reckon I could play in goal behind those two.

Sadly at best I think it's one or the other, one partnered with a good solid reliable cb would still be formidable though.
If we could get both do you think we would turn it down?
I think the issue will be convincing either or both to come.
Can't agree more mate. It's how clubs should be run.To all intents yup.
Same way if we manage to get 20m for McCarthy (which Newcastle offered in January) - we've effectively swapped him for Schneiderlin for no cost.
When Walsh etc go on about value for money and being cost effective, that's what i think about, basically upgrading various parts of the team for no net cost is what every club should strive for as much as it can do.
