Keepers who let you down

Richard Wright is a funny one, remember one of his better games for us was a 7-0 thrashing by Arsenal. Make of that what you will but in my eyes that can't be good for a keeper.

Been thinking this over for a few days since something popped up in another thread. Got me thinking about past keepers we have had and the high hopes I had for them. Ultimately they let me down.

Richard Wright I thought was going to be absolute great for years for us. Had a nightmare and then went into obscurity.
Richard Wright straight away sprung to mind...

we like to give out keepers abuse for not being Southall.. Howard was better than adequate except for these odd star jumps he used to do..

Simonsen was another who ended up being a disaster. Sure he was signed as a record fee for a keeper aswell.

Myhre was probably never great but as he was a random keeper from abroad I was hoping he would be boss. Don’t think he was terrible but just never really breathed confidence.

I recall Wright saving a pen away to Sunderland in his first season and as a kid I thought he was gonna be our goalie for like 10 years.

A few years later he fell over a sign.
