called to my contact in Moscow. He is sure Everton has made an offer. Honda has been spotted driving with his Kawasaki Ninja all over Moscow with full Everton kit on.

I agree, I think our name is being used to by Honda's current club, so they can sell him now, rather than Milan just taking him on a free, when his contract expires in January. I think there is a general assumption abroad, that Premier League teams have loads of cash....... if only that were true! :)
 
For what it's worth, ESPN Press Pass were saying that AC Milan will have to wait till Jan to grab him, meaning that the club may still wish to sell him before then to re-coup some money back

It's unlikely though, I reckon he's Milan bound
 
I sense Milan will match any bid that does come in and other clubs know it so not much point doing it. I wish that the idea of him coming here had never entered my head

less money than us.. would be good if that's true, was assuming his wages would be the major expenditure anyway but suppose every club has a projected transfer budget. I still want to pretend there is no chance though, he seems too perfect

Oh I agree

I think that even if CKSA demand he go now for a fee, another team would nab him over us

As much as it upsets me to say, he's a natural fit for Milan and that's probably the best place for him to go

Would love him at Everton though. If we signed him, I'd think I'd do a wacky dance of joy
 
been reading book about Brian Clough and if he knew other clubs were interested in a player he would travel over night and turn up at their house and tell them they were signing for him. Honda would bring exactly what we need to the team and so much interest to the club... maybe Martinez should turn up at his house tell him its time to be a legend and bring him back with him. wish the football world was like that still
