wasnt their an issue with having to move robinho on first though in order to free a foreign player space or some such?

Well, they were open to selling most players, Robinho was just the realistic option. Although Santos pulled out of the deal, they said he wanted too much money.

Looks to me like they have come to an agreement for next season with Milan now.

Thye also want Erickson from Ajax!!!

Would have Boateng here in a heartbeat - only wants move to an 'Elite' club though, so probably rules us out if his price already hadnt.

Just seen that Flamini's a free agent after they didn't renew his contract... Still only 29...

Don't want to get your hopes up lads... I don't want to get mine up either but here you go.

'Honda to Milan? It's not true'

"CSKA Moscow director Roman Babaev has insisted that Keisuke Honda will not be joining Milan.

The Japan international has been constantly linked with a move to the Rossoneri during this transfer window, with reports on Monday claiming that the midfielder will sign for the San Siro side in a deal worth €4m.

The Russian team’s board member though, has rubbished those rumours.

“Honda to Milan? No, it’s not true,” he briefly told championat.com."

I think they may not be able to though.

All reports point to them being broke

They might have less money than us right now

They certainly aren't broke - they very rarely spend big money until the end of the window. They have plenty of money if they need it.

Just don't see how he'll get the game time at Milan.

Already have to pick 6 from El Shaarawy, Balotelli, Pazzini, Robinho, Montolivo, Boateng, Poli, Nocerino, De Jong, Muntari and Emmanuelson

Strange move in a WC year.

Only one of the players listed there (Boateng) plays in the position they plan to play Honda, he'll get plenty of games.

They can still sign a foreign player even if Robinho doesn't leave.

Boateng: Overrated and very inconsistent.

Flamini: Milan let him go because he was asking for daft wages, and he's pretty average.

They haven't - they're brassic. They need to sell to buy.

It changes nothing re: Honda like, as he wants to go there & he will, but Milan are skint.

Off to Newcastle or West Ham then.

That wouldn't surprise me.

That's simply not the case (unfortunately for us). Their revenue is up and their wage bill is down meaning they've cut their losses substantially.

Milan have made a loss for decades, but when you're owned by the most powerful man in Italy, that doesn't matter, and it still doesn't matter now. In fact, reports in Italy suggest Milan a preparing to make a big transfer when they qualify for the CL.

They, like us, plead poverty every year - difference is they're funded by a Billionaire and we just have Bill.

Sorry but you're wrong. They had to balance the books, which they've made a decent attempt at, but they need to sell to buy this window. There won't be any major incomings unless there's a counter balance departure.

They don't need to sell players to raise funds (they turned down €35m for El Shaarawy), they need to sell to bring down the size of the squad. Money for transfers really isn't an issue at Milan, they don't work in the same way as british clubs do when it comes to transfer funds - they have a certain amount to spend (probably €20m this season) but if a big player becomes available Berlusconi funds it, like he did for Balotelli in January.

They're very unlikely to spend big until they qualify for the CL, because that's worth an extra £26m.

Berlusconi blew his fortune on beak and brasses
