Mate, we are beeing used to flush out a better club deal elsewhere. The player has followed instuctions from his agent.

We should move on. The lad and his agent are snides.

The club need to give his agent an ultimatium or F*** Him off quick.

Have to agree.

If he ends up going to Arsenal we will have wasted loads of time on this. Either he wants in or we need to move on to the next target.
Putting all out eggs/pounds in one basket/player is retarded so late in a window.

In other news Louis Saha is set to continue his tour of England (Newcastle, Fulham, Man U, Everton, Spurs) with a move to Sunderland

Ok so lets try and remain impartial and weigh up the options

Arsenal

Pros :

Champions League Football
London is more attractive that Merseyside for his family

Cons :

Less wages probably as they have a strict wage cap
Will probably warm the bench due to the wealth of talent in their midfield

Everton

Pros :

Will be a starter every week
Wages may well be higher
Felli is his best mate and they can have Grease 2 nights

Cons :

At the moment we are a less attractive club in terms of status and what we can offer
London vs. Walton?

I honestly think it could go either way at this point, I think we can all rest safe in the knowledge that Moyes has done everything he possibly can to push it our way.

Let's just see what happens mate before we point the finger or kill the deal on the basis of how we interpret a few vague quotes

What's he said wrong there mate ?

Sheeds, cmon lad...David Moyes has put a lot of effort in to get the player and then he says it,s a race to see who gets me in the next two weeks and maybe MF can convince me, then legs it back to home..

Nahhh not having it..the lad is showing no respect to our club and moyes. If he thinks he can get a contract from wenger then let him try we should move on ..the season starts monday.

Lets put it into context , I personally think this is a bit of journo artistic licence, most of what he quotes contradicts the interview on SSN and if you see the extract just before the end of the piece in the mail (below), it certainly states that we are still in pole position.

"Everton hope to agree a deal costing just over £5million and are clearly in pole position after Moyes’ face-to-face meeting with the 24-year old’s agent that should lead to a medical at their Finch Farm training ground in the next 24 hours"

Even if this is correct (don't think so, personally) I couldn't give a sh*t. We need some snide in our team. We don't like it but it's part of what we're lacking, I believe. Most players who join us develop loyalty AFTER they sign for us. Even if we're not their ideal destination, we always seem to impress players when they come, no end.

If he's seen the Hibbo goal celebrations nothing can stop him signing for us.. "fk me if that's how the fans celebrate a friendly goal at the home end I want some of that"

Yep. It's been said before, and I agree that it's best to treat the transfer window as though it closes before the start of the season rather than sit on a single transfer for weeks on end and then end up making a last minute loan move for another player if the previous one falls through.

He wants to play week in week out that much is sure

If he goes to Arsenal he would have to fight Podolski,Giroud,Ox,Walcott,Cazorla,Arteta,Gervinho,Wiltshire,Arshavin and Ramsey for a place in the side

He comes here and he will play every week if fit

He has mate but we don't know what happening do we ? We are looking at a few quotes and all of us are trying to interpret them without knowing the context of what's being said . Like I've said everyone lies in the market but our manager has flown out to speak to the bloke & his representative so he thinks its a runner or at least close, I think you can read quotes a number of ways. Officially We don't even know for certain if our offer has been accepted so maybe he couldn't sign anyway, I know what your saying but lets see how it pans out.
