I think Moyes knows how he is going to react better than anybody on this forum.

He criticised him about not scoring enough, the lad goes and scores 3 goals in 4.

Same thing happened with Drenthe before he went mental. Moyes said Royston didn't work hard enough defensively and he definitely improved in that regard.

When you train with people several times a week you get to know how they tick and what drives them.

I absolutely love Mirallas, but if it's true that he comes off the pitch too easily, it needs to be said. He obviously has bags of talent, but if he's only good for 60 minutes because he's afraid of getting hurt, that is a problem in a squad without depth, at the end of the season, when everybody is knackered.

exactly in my old job our manager was very open if he thought you werent 100% and a few lads made out like they werent arsed with being called out infront of others but you knew one or two would of rathered him taking them aside rather than infront of colleagues and it could be the same with any of our players not just Kev.

When did SAF every call Ronaldo out for going on his arse after every challenge or Mourinho with the brute Drogba? it doesnt happen.

Then if he has scored 3 in 4 why would you come out with a comment that could effect his confidence? It might be a motivational message to get the best out of him but the player could react in a bad way because of the amount of pressure put on him.

end of the day he's a top class player Moyes should keep it private if he wants to motivate him,

would AVB say Bale may not be right for Spurs, Or Rodgers ask the question of Suarez? no chance as they want to keep their best players happy if Moyes starts highlighting Kev in the media which might for all we know start to piss him off and Arsenal and other clubs start sniffing in the summer whats to stop him leaving?

How many games has Suarez missed through injury this season ? How many has Bale missed ? Not many

How often do you see them signaling over to the bench to bring them off ? Not often

I think Moyes hinted earlier in the season that a lot of Mirallas's niggles were in his head - maybe Moyes is frustrated that he hasnt had Mirallas available for the whole season. Maybe Moyes is frustrated that he gets booed every week for bringing Mirallas off ?
Maybe Moyes knows a bit more about this management lark than you and what each player responds to - not many players have left Everton because of Moyes, more money yes, but not because of Moyes

No one is saying that Moyes knows all and he's infallible. But he certainly knows the players in the squad better than we do.
