Sorry mate. I live in Spain and people who are into the prem know who we are (mainly due to Arteta) But we certainly haven't got a 'massive' profile on the continent. When I mention that Gascoigne and Ginola played for us most people are surprised. Then I tell them the circumstances and they usually laugh. Sad but true. Older fans remember Linker but not everyone remembers who Barcelona bought him from. They think of him as 'England's' Gary Lineker.
Unfortunately, global tv coverage of football began after our decline. If you're not in the CL or the latter stages of the UEFA/Europa League, the vast majority of fans don't know you

FFS We have one of the Neville brothers on our books. You all are missing the point. Everything about Everton is cool.
 

I sincerely hope nobody in Europe remembers we once willingly paid Gazza and Ginola to enjoy their semi-retirement strolls at Goodison.

I really had no idea this guy existed, having missed the England-Belgium game. He looks a player, though, even if he's only tricking his way past Greek plumbers. Someone like him would be a nice surprise.
