Can't help but think this is a massive overreaction! If he'd have scored or Everton were having a good season this would be a non point imo.

For what it's worth I think the captain (Jagielka?) should have stepped in andd made the call. Surely thats one of his duties

But he didn't score and we're not having a good season...therefore it is a point...where it should have been three

Big "If" mate. If you want to act like the big boss in the team and talk about moves to a CL team then you shouldn't embarrass yourself like that. I like Kev but he was out of order last night.

It's been well documented that Jags had other priorities-tying his laces on the halfway lineo_O

Kev had a t-shirt on saying RIP to the lad who died last week, he wanted to score and dedicate the goal to him.
To be fair as he stepped up I thought that was the reason for him wanting to take it. However it would had been simple for somebody ie Martinez or himself ge wanted to take it for this reason then at least everyone would know. And I think most people would say ok fair play, maybe not agree but at least understand

I understand his desperation to score, but why didn't he wear a t shirt after his free kick against West Ham?

No, it's not.

The manager has a designated penalty taker and thar should have been the end of it.

Jags, Baines....no one should have been required to pull rank or step into a row.

Mirallas is bang out of order and the finger should be pointed only in his direction.

He "stepped up"?

Stepped up to do what?

He had no business "stepping up" when our regular penalty taker was prepared to take the kick himself.
