Kevin Mirallas

.......top player, man for the big occasion, fantastic purchase at the price but I'm afraid his achilles is that he's not the best of pro's. Recall Baines saying he wont play with a knock whilst others do, another example last night and talk of a bust up in the tunnel. Talent isn't everything.

I am looking for sommat hear to redeem Mirallas in my mind.

Has there been some talk in the training ground about Baines and penalties?

That was a bad penno at OT.

The one at Sunderland was dreadful.......even though he scored it was an awful penno which the keeper should have saved easily.

Surely he just didn't take it upon himself on the spare of the moment?
Even that doesn't explain it I'm afraid. If he was concerned about Baines's penalties he should have raised it at training and had the discussion there and requested to be first penalty taker.

If that was agreed then all his team-mates would have understood and given him the best chance of being successful at converting it - yelling at him to give it to Baines was hardly good for Kev's chances of scoring. If he had been turned down then he could have sulked in private but Baines would have been clear headed to take the penalty.

As it was he seems to have had decided to ask for forgiveness afterwards rather than permission beforehand, exactly like a spoilt kid. Although by missing it anyway he has to ask for a lot more forgiveness than he was planning.

What he did was awful, the way he clearly goes against the rest of the team. I hate him at the minute and think he's a self centred, egotistical bellend.
However, score a hat trick in the derby and all will be forgiven (if he's still here like).

He did everything but wrestle the ball off him, he asked him "are you sure?", and then slapped him twice on the face as if to say your a cheeky runt and being a bit of a tit.

Other than start wrestling the ball from each other and both looking like prats I don't know what Baines could have done.

If it's true Mirallas wanted to honour the player that died last week then it all becomes a little clearer doesn't it.
I bet he had a T-shirt underneath that had a message on also if that's true. His perfect chance to show it off scoring a pen..

When your good friend, Everton team mate and Belgian team mate is shouting at you asking you wtf are u doing, you know you are doing something terrible. The media has not blown this up at all.

Football is a team game, the best sides are held together by togetherness, team cohesion and spirit fighting hard for each other towards the same goal. Mirallas action last night was not only hugely undermining to the team, Baines and his manager but the whole club ethos all for personal progression.

No player is bigger than Everton football club and he should be sold at first chance and have as little as possible involvement in the first team. Any manager worth his salt and wants to command a dressing room of egotistical superstars will do just that

He died that day, more than likely never had the time to sort it.

He didnt die that day, he died on Saturday morning the day we drew 1-1 with City. We played Wham on the Tuesday. This he wanted to dedicate it to the guy that died is a fabricated excuse made up by somebody trying to defend the indefensible

That sums up our season. Is it coincidence that we're completly out of form, eto'o is leaving in a very strange way, players asking to change our style and now this super unprofesional act. Does roberto have it under control ? I doubt now :(

This is absolutely spot on btw - its well known that he wont play with niggling knocks when the rest of the lads do. It has brought much derision from others inside the dressing room

For me, the worst thing about this is the fact that Kev felt able to go against everyone. Says something about the state of things.

absolutely true, he was doing that for him self and for his own purposes. wtf was that ffs.

never thought i would say this but i want him gone if good offer comes. (£15m->)
