Arrested Development

That show is simply amazing - the sly Snoopy reference in the background is genius.

I can understand people talking about Jags stepping in or Baines should of took the ball back, lets just think for a moment about Bowyer/Dyer at Newcastle, Di Canio/Lampard at West Ham, Noble/Tomkins at West Ham, Grobelaar/Mcmanaman at Liverpool - all instances were players had it out in public and it looked silly. Personally i think Baines and Bobby handled it well, bearing in mind it was the 43rd minute. We do not want the players bralwing in public at half time.

...that does throw a new light on things. If he is intent on staying, though, you would think he'd be keen to sign and up his salary asap. The good part of this is that we can demand a decent fee if he doesn't want to renew in the summer. For what it's worth, I'd like him to sign a new contract, it will send out the right signal and we can put the event v West Brom behind us.

Tempers will have cooled and apologies will have been made and probably accepted by now.
The manager will have looked at how Mirallas has reacted and how he has trained. He will have looked at how the other players have reacted and
if the bond between the players has been damaged beyond repair. Let's not forget that rows betwwen players are a regular occurence

I am sure he has spoken to the player about what the future holds. It looks as if the player is under contract for another two seasons and if he wants to leave or if somebody wants to buy then they have to be prepared to pay.

It did look as if Mirallas was playing to attract attention from CL leagues clubs and RM will want him to get back to that form again , whatever the motivation is.

Here's my take on what went down.

Mirallas arrived at the ground with a tee shirt in honour of his mate and told the boys that if he scored he would flash it at the cameras.

Baines had probably told him that if we were in a comfortable position with time running out and Kev hadn't scored then if we got a penalty he would let him take it.

Mirallas then saw how the game was going and that chances to score were going to be very few and very far between.

Then the ref blew for a penno and all that went out the window and the rest is history.
