Kevin Mirallas was wearing a t-shirt with a tribute to Junior Malanda under his jersey that he hoped to display if he successfully converted the penalty against West Brom
best player yes, team player noIf you seriously want us to get rid of one of our best players because he made one daft, emotion-based mistake then you're a bad tit IMO.
Is this Malanda thing actually true though?
He scored against West Ham and didn't lift his shirt up then despite it being a few days after Malanda died.
penalty misses have cost us 3 points and FA cup progression already this season. We need to sort it out. Martinez has definitely lost the plot on penalties. And missed so I'm with @Steve Wigan and I say lock him in the dungeons until further notice!!
I agree it doesn't make it right, someone just told me that it was in one of the papersDoesn't make it right sadly.

He was on the bench against WH, maybe made the difference.
Irrespective of that, a player full of confidence took a penalty from someone who the captain (naisy may as well be) and manager both said may not have been in the most confident frame of mind to take one (though I think he was personally). Even if Baines wanted to take it, to accuse Mirallas of taking a single penalty to somehow further his career is just insane and typical of our fans atm.
