Played well for 20 minutes total against the worst team in the league by a mile.

Woohoo.

Tag me in when he has a run of five games. Until then, there's a reason he doesn't get regular games, and people being over the moon about two or three attention grabbing moments in the midst of general mediocrity pretty much sums everything about him and his fans up.

Match winners only need 20minutes.

It does give some support to the theory that we dont need to pack the middle against grim sides, and can play two widemen, with lennon, gerry an kev in the squad it would be a crying shame to not have two of them on the pitch against crapper sides

My point is that The Clev isn't playing in a winger position...just as Kone is not.

For some odd reason our fans can't wrap their brain around that.

Am I?

Kone is meant to be supporting Rom from the left...sometimes the right as the forwards switch.

Mirallas is an out and out winger.

Clev is a LM.

No idea why folks can't see it. Utter wham by folks all over the show...maybe they just don't understand the game.

No people understand it, it just makes more sense to have a better player there.

I like The Clev and certain games his energy and positional discipline is needed.
I see no use for Kone other than target practice in training.

Superkev is a moody tart, hes a bit hit and miss, but he scores and creates goals, he has done for the last 3+ years, baffles me how "some" people cant see what he brings to the team, they only wanna focus on his negatives.

Im not saying hes wurld klass, hes not, but hes a very talented player and IMO, in the squad, is by far the best option on the left side of "midfield".

I reckon the situation dictates the decisions. Villa is rubbish...play two out and out wingers...almost a 4-3-3.

Rom is not getting help...needs support. Bring on a striker who is best when he's supporting.

Good opponent...go with a more conservative defensive minded left side with Clev who offers Pienaaresque ability going forward.

The logic is really not hard to work out.
