Then whats the point of having two DM? If they can't cover for players who are awesome going forward but need assistance in defence..?
guessing he feels safer with 2 DMs (still shipping goals anyways mind you). I'm just exploring the reasoning for naismith/kone over Kev and the main difference between them as players (besides attacking talent) is Kev doesn't track back as much. I love kev (can check my posts in this thread) and would love him to start. Can see the reasoning behind him not (think he should come on earlier though)

I don't disagree with any of that honestly. I don't see how 2 DM who offer almost nothing going forward can't cope with picking up a player who is boss going forward.

It's a big concern for me that the manager is continuing to not give the lad any game time despite Naismith being utter chod. Think he'll be gone in January sadly.
This is becoming far more likely with each week. If you're regularly not being considered for the starting XI here then why would he want to stay?

While he has a few flaws to his play and personality, he's arguably been and still is one of our most creative and effective players.

Simply he should be playing more often that not. The fact he isn't is just baffling.

if it was moyes who started naismith and lennon yesterday and mirallas and deulofeu were on the bench he'd of got slaughtered for it, just saying.

Think we will be seeing him start against Arsenal. Rightly or wrongly I understood why he didn't start Mirallas today, probably just proving a point to him that he wasn't going to walk straight in.

To not get any minutes though was a concern as I would have given him 20 minutes with an eye on next week.

yet Coleman and Stones walked straight into a back line that had looked increasingly confident and solid over the past few games. They're both great players .. just saying.

For me Mirallas starts over Naismith/Del at the moment .. Kone's form is difficult to judge, though he does seem to ignite Lukaku and I like Lennon's industry and pace.

The problem with Kev is that he can go missing for long parts of the game and then pop up with a goal. It makes him very effective but on some days (Villa away last season springs to mind) he can be a passenger). I can understand not starting him with that mindset.

I think the plan is to have either Cleverley or Naismith on the left, and Lennon or Deulofeu on the right.

Shame, because I think Mirallas is more talented than any of them.
if that is the plan then we shouldn't have kept him. think everything went downhill for him after that penalty miss, i hope he can get back amongst it because hes one of our most talented players and hes just generally boss

He's one of our best players and needs to be in the team.

Chances are that he'll be awful in his first game back due to a lack of football but he really needs a run of games.

Should be playing next week, no excuses.

Not just to give him a boost but to let Naismith and Kone know that a few good performances doesn't make them regulars. They need to up their game, of course if Mirralas does come in and do nothing that's just as dangerous because Naismith and Kone will probably get back into the team based on their work rate
