Kevin Mirallas

He's obviously not favoured on the left, I reckon he's pretty much back up for Deulofeu now, but if Deulofeu was to get injured we'd need Mirallas desperately. I wouldn't sell him unless we were getting someone better than him in..... YARMS.

Not sure Yarmo would want to come here to be a sub. He could be used on the left but that's a big waste considering he puts on his best performances on the right. He's a poacher, he helps set up goals, and scores bangers from long range, I've watched him a few times I can say with certainty his crossing and overall wide delivery is absolutely abysmal. What Yarmo is good at though, is cutting inside and whizzing past defenders with skill, which probably wouldn't fit in at all with our current style of play where we start passing movements from the back out to Geri and/or Ross who then set up Lukaku with great chances before it ends up in the net. He'd probably work best as a striker in our current setup but I've not seen him up front before.

I always feel a bit conflicted with Mirallas. He's a great player when he wants to be and he's a fantastic snide, but he's so frustrating to watch when he can't be arsed. I do think Martinez could do better in his man management of him though.

Obviously we're not privy to what goes on behind the scenes, but he seems as good as gone at this point, especially after being left out of the last Belgium squad.

I think Martinez will come to regret the way he's treated him. Kone's legs seem to desert him at times when he's playing a lot of football, and Deulofeu is usually blowing out of his arse after sixty or seventy minutes.

It could be that the manager has faith in Lennon, McGeady and Naismith, but anyone can look like good cover until they actually need to come in and play a few games.

On his left peg he has an exceptional delivery from wide/centrally mate, all too often what your probably judging him on is when he's stuck on the right wing trying a ball into the box on his right peg, seriously watch a few Kiev games and see how he delivers the ball from dee when he switches it onto his left or even more telling check his delivery out on corners and free kicks which is outstandingly good, a Yarmolenko playing on the left and given free regin to drift centrally - much like Kone does could actually prove to be a tactical masterstoke.

Also from memory i think originally he actually got shifted to the right hand side so as to accommodate Konoplynka in the national side, but when he was 20-22 he was playing primarily left wing for Kiev and done a good job there as well

Even on youtube you can see his crossfield and incisive passing from the right when he turns inside.

You think he could do a job on the left then? How about centrally if Barkley was moved back?

Aye mate i think playing on the left we'd still see a very good player, just not the same number of goals we'd see from him playing on the right, but to counterbalance that could see him causing absolute havoc with Baines down that side much like we are starting to see on the left side with Coleman and Deulofeu. All sounds very footy manager like, but a lot of our goals this season are scored on the break/counter as well, and with that whose playing where becomes more of a all hurtling breakneck down the field so could see him having some fun with that ;)

In theory on the right he either hugs the touchline like a limpet or is bombing infield towards the box, flipping his sides shouldn't change that - will just mean he's more set to lay it off than shoot - but honestly 3/4 of his goals aren't the worldies that we see but are more the ones Barkley's been banging in the past few games - and that shouldn't be effected by what side he is on. He would walk right into taking the set pieces though as he is miles better than anything we have right now with them

As mentioned in the summer, he's still my no1 choice for a signing and think he will fit in perfectly on the left with Baines. As you've mentioned we would have 2 absolutely potent flanks capable of providing a bucket load of assists and goals.

i think bobby will do his all to keep him here until next summer. he will be needed.

BUT

if it means Yermarlenko would come after his departure then be it.

I think He has every right to be miffed. How long has he to be put to the sword for that penalty incident?

He's better than the players getting picked ahead of him regardless of results.

It shows we are getting more strength in depth but I think Mirallas should get a run of games to show He can contribute.

Truth is we have no clue what goes on behind the scenes, but starting Osman ahead of him doesn't really signal Martinez has him as a part of his plans. There's no way you can tell me Osman offers more than Kev, and neither one of them has played much.

I'm guessing there's more to the story, and Kev has probably let his negativity take hold of the situation.

If Thats the case bobby will kick his arse out soon.
