Think he's doing a very good job but a lot of that will be down to he seems to have a plan that includes Lampard. It's no big mystery that Brands' best season as DoF was with Silva which was the only manager in his term that he actually advocated. If Thelwell and Lampard are allowed to just do their jobs then we'll be in far better shape than before he came.

I mean, Lampard wants to play a 3 at the back, he knows and trusts Coady, who’s widely accepted as being an excellent half in a back three.

We also signed Vinagre, but that feels very much like a Sidibe signing in the sense that they’re a backup but a capable one, an upgrade in what we had.

We set ourselves up to sign young olayers( with high upside, I think it was sensible to put feelers out for MGW, and right that we pulled away when it didn’t meet our budget.

No issue with that. Smart business.

I was half joking to be honest because I think the business we have done meets a need we have right now.

I think a back 3 of Coady/Tarkowski and one other is pretty good and will be well organised and not leak stupid goals. The one doubt is whether it could get caught out with balls behind because there isn’t much pace in there.

Add to that Gana and Onana and I am pretty happy albeit Onana comes with a similar record to Gbamin really in that he has attributes but I’ve never seen him so can’t judge.

We need to get at least one attacker and in my mind probably two. If we could get Broja and one more I’d be made up given my extremely low expectations going into the window

Not sure myself mate, he’s just signing anyone with a connection to his past in some form. Wouldn’t be surprised if we do end up with Traore on the last day of the window to add some attacking options.

It might be because our recruitment department is not up to scratch so he is resorting to this. We don't know.

But if we're honest it's the strategy any half decent DOF would have put into place years ago.

We somehow picked 2 of the worst in world football + backed them with ruinous amounts of money without any real plan in place.
