Sold Rico and really thought Rondo (sloooow) and DCL (patchy) would suffice? This looks like a massive clanger to me.

Np's with the types of player coming in, but no CF and we'll be in a Christmas rush worse than my annual present panic buying.

Of course, but even if that player arrives in 2-3 weeks:

a) we'll be paying more
b) it's last minute and our league position will yell 'desperate'... queue up parasite agents
c) we'll have shipped 6-7 games and who knows how many points to play catch-up on whoever is 17th

Poor.

Why 2/3 weeks when we’ve made approaches for at least 3 strikers in the past week alone

Honestly, if we hadn’t signed a midfielder or defenders we would be saying exactly the same thing about those positions. Given our FFP / P&S situation, I actually thought we would be in a far worse position with the squad than we are. We are clearly going to sign a striker and things will get better.

If we hadn’t have signed Onona, the entire midfield would now consist of Davies.

If we hadnt signed Tarkowski and Coady, the defence would consist of Keane and Holgate.

I only ever thought this season would be slow consolidation. Once the striker arrives we will improve. It will probably happen this week.
 
We are going to loose again next Saturday unless we register new attacking players by Monday or Tuesday latest.

All the PR shizzle in the world won't change this fact.

3 strikers = desperate
It'll take a few weeks to get fit and (e.g. Onana) be part of things, settle in etc.

I'm not a hater, wanna see us move on from last year.

Also 0-1 and 2-1 away are not 'hammerings', which show once we have a threat up front maybe we'll be competiyive.

But doing as much MF/CB business without a plan up front will be a major percentage of the teams we're chasing in 17th. Pls countup those points after the RS game and look at the teams we'll have played in losing that ground.

That's not worthy of all the positive, recruitment chatter.

CBs,OK. Midfield,maybe needed two. But we're still playing Davies who cannot live in the PL (and believe me I've wished him well for seasons).

Massive massive oversight, chasing scraps other teams don't want whilst they sit around getting unfit, and agents are saying make Everton wait - the more points they ship themore they'll pay.

Naive and costly in the extreme.
