The Man Utd chief apologized to their fans for the past x terrible years in which they never dropped below 7th and won 3 trophies. 40k Everton fans would cheerfully accept that record. Goes to underline how far we have fallen below RS, City, MU, Spurs, Chelsea and maybe even Arsenal. The future looks grim for the next few years, midtable mediocrity probably.
We were never even close to those clubs in the first place. You just can’t compare Manchester United’s objectives with ours, they are a global elite mega club. If they finished 4th and we finished 7th then we have had a better season than them.
