A 120 point plan, no less. Doesn't involve buying any players that we actually need, but a 120 point plan. I think we can all rest easy tonight.
Speculation as to what was in the plan?

Improving car parking facilities for the tea lady? New pool table at Finch Farm? Fixing the dodgy vending machine that breaks when you ask for a KitKat?

Uh-oh, looks like nobody has been checking in on Kev...

It's simply not acceptable the DoF scrambling round looking for players on the last day of a January transfer window, when it was obvious we were massively short at the end of the Summer window.

It's cost one manager his job, it has put pressure on a new manager who he should be doing everything in his power to help him for his first game Saturday.

It's amateurish, unacceptable and is a real indicator of the shambles and lack of direction from the top.

There is literally no excuse for it.

Fair enough, we are a less impressive prospect than we’d hoped to have been at this stage back in August, but we ought to have tiers of targets that are appropriate to whatever level we find ourselves at in January. Can’t have first choice, so let’s go second or third.

It was obvious though. I don’t think we chose to do business at the end of the window, it happens because we are diminished. Powerful clubs can do business early, weak clubs scrabble around trying to convince teams to sell and players to join.
