the everton wayI expect that we don’t have any cash as nothing’s changed from last year & that Gordon’s sale covers the losses.
So we will be offering to pay on the drip again & be at the back of the queue.

Kev’s got a few new signings lined already apparently, across a number of postitions.
Assistant director of electrolyte beverages
Head of sprint analytics
Vice president of missed opportunities
Director of sleep conditioning
Whole new spine to add to his team.
Not so much players but the actual club, we need to hang back for a bit and see whats going on there, no rush to buy anyone, we have to do it right this summerCan we even buy anyone until someone is sold?
I have no idea what the financial situation is, but I'm guessing that if we're limited in what we can spend then that's going to mean we can't buy anyone quickly
We need to get people in and get them training under the manager and working within a system. We cannot be in a scenario where we are leaving it till the last couple of weeks to get people in and get familiar. We just can't have a repeat of the last 2 seasons due to being so unprepared, it's just not acceptable. Not so much players but the actual club, we need to hang back for a bit and see whats going on there, no rush to buy anyone, we have to do it right this summer
Yeah but not this week, are the squad in full training at Finch Farm? I doubt it.We need to get people in and get them training under the manager and working within a system. Doesn't matter if they are training or not, we need to get a move on with this. So far we are getting linked with some absolutely dreadful shouts, some of which are very concerning and tbh this was always going to be a worry with rebuilding under Dyche. I would agree the MSP stuff needs sorting asap as it just seems to be dragging now. I just don't want to see us going into the July pre season with the same squad bar the few releases we have made. We are just going to make things difficult for ourselves before we even start if that's the case.Yeah but not this week, are the squad in full training at Finch Farm? I doubt it.
Towards the end of the month, main thing is we need to buy the right players, and stop this buying deadwood nonsense, Kev got that spot on in January so I fully trust him to do that again now.
No rush, let's get the club sold first
Thing is we could buy now, like right now, but you have to remember it's not just about us, it's about the players too, and what they want.….we should have a list of targets and look to bring them in asap. Problem with leaving it until later is your targets have gone elsewhere, you become more desperate and can actually pay over the odds.
We saw what an absolute mess we were in by Thelwell’s failure to bring in an effective striker option. I’m sure I’m not alone in not trusting him to get things right, indeed I hope his time is up.
Time to worry is at the end of the month, not now, its a two way street, no.player is going to prioritise signing for Everton over a holiday.Doesn't matter if they are training or not, we need to get a move on with this. I can't see anyone being desperate to sign for Everton this week, or next.
Other issue is how much do we have to spend, if the club is being sold we might have more funds.
As I pointed out above, the players are not training at Finch Farm for next season at the moment, so we have time to plan and get this right.
The situation was a debacle long before Kevin arrived. We need him to make it better, but what we don't want is him to rush things and make it worst.….with DCL injured, we were actually 7 games into last season when Thelwell brought in Maupay. A totally ineffective signing brought in way too late.
We can’t have this situation repeated, Thelwell has facilitated a debacle.
Is the leaving it late thing a Thelwell or Kenwright thing though ? Because it is pretty classic Kenwright to do things late in any window.….we should have a list of targets and look to bring them in asap. We saw what an absolute mess we were in by Thelwell’s failure to bring in an effective striker option. His gross incompetence nearly cost us our top flight existence.

If we sign anyone over the next week I'd hazard a guess it's been rushed, for no logical reason and not thought out properly
You'd like to think he's been on it for a couple of months...here's hoping anyway.….if it’s been ‘rushed and illogical’, I’d ask what Thelwell has been doing since January.
He should have plans in place and a clear view of who and what is needed.
Sadly, I fear you might be right that he hasn’t got a clue of the teams requirements.
