Time to worry is at the end of the month, not now, its a two way street, no.player is going to prioritise signing for Everton over a holiday.
If we sign anyone over the next week I'd hazard a guess it's been rushed, for no logical reason and not thought out properly
We should already have targets in mind though, no reason for them being rushed. I'm not saying we have to sign someone THIS exact week, but we can't leave it like we normally do, it's simply not an option this year.

Is the leaving it late thing a Thelwell or Kenwright thing though ? Because it is pretty classic Kenwright to do things late in any window.

Maupay was a daft choice of course. McNeil, Garner, Tarks and Onana don't look like the worst.

….he’s the DoF.

In respect of those 3, never forget that the absolute priority for almost 2 years was a striker. He spent monies elsewhere before bringing in Maupay well into this season. His incompetence almost got us relegated, we should not lose sight of that.

We started this season with Gordon as central striker and finished it with Gray.

Utter, utter nonsense. It’s what proper clubs do. You don’t just start thinking about buying players when the season ends, it’s literally his job and he should’ve been looking at players all year. We should know right now who we want to buy, this post makes absolutely no sense and has triggered me.

You'd like to think he's been on it for a couple of months...here's hoping anyway.

…spot on.

I’m convinced Dyche has a clear view of who he doesn’t want (in this squad) and the type of players he needs to improve us next season. In one of his post-match interviews after the Bournemouth game, Dyche pointed to his temple & said; “ I know exactly what’s needed, it’s all in here.”

Thelwell should be on the same page and be ready to meet the Managers requirements.

Please list me the purchases the proper clubs have made so far in this window?
What makes you think he hasnt been thinking about this for months, maybe he knows who he wants to buy, but you do understand this is a two way street, its all well and good us wanting a player but if you think they are going to be waiting by the phone and making a bee line for Finch Farm this week or even next you are kidding yourself

Not something we've done well in decades - Rom was great. Richy was decent. DCL kind of evolved into a striker.

….it might be because the window hasn’t opened yet;

Macallister to Liverpool
Mount to Utd
Kovacic to City

i's and t's to be dotted and crossed but all looking very likely
Arsenal in for Rice and caicedo
The point is Clubs are battling for preferred targets already, negotiating fees etc
We're 'preparing bids' and 'seriously considering'
