….you used ‘hopefully’ to describe DCLs fitness. You used ‘hopefully’ to describe us acquiring an effective and robust striker. The season starts in 2 days, Thelwell has had 3 windows to rectify the situation.
Nothing is certain in this life and that includes the Football team we support.

We all have opinions, and differing opinions are what make life interesting. We can only hope that DCL stays fit, just like Man City hopes that Haaland stays fit.

We can only but hope that we make more signings; that's just the way it is.

Not sure how you can totally blame Thelwell or any of the DoFs for our situation, when we’ve still got chairman Bill and the bent accountant sticking their noses into every transfer that the DoFs try to make.

The only thing thelwell is guilty of is lacking integrity and taking a hefty wage for doing sod all - I would prob do the same truth be told.

There’s also a very good chance I’d get really frustrated and Jack it in, as micromanagement and unskilled people telling me how to do my job gets right on my thrippneys.

....not sure you realise but Haaland doesn’t have a history of leg muscle injuries. Not sure you’ve noticed but DCL has been injured more than he’s been fit for the last 18 months. The risk factor is totally different.

….we’re about to start our 2nd season without an effective and robust central striker. That’s 3 windows he’s risked the top flight existence of our club. It’s not rocket science to suggest that a capable striker would’ve comfortably seen us safe last season yet with a couple of days to go we are still in a similar position.

Thelwell = incompetent
That makes zero sense. Thelwell doesn’t control the financials and he doesn’t sign the cheques does he? He can identify all the talented strikers in the world, but if those above him don’t stump up the cash and sign off the deals he’s worked on, then what is he supposed to do? It’s bizarre to point the finger in his direction. This isn’t hearsay or rumour, we’ve heard it from Moshiri’s mouth exactly how transfers operate at this club. We’ve even seen Moshiri quoted recently on why he’s kept Kenwright at the club in the short term, to negotiate the transfers! We even heard Moshiri’s interview with the fans thingy, how it starts with Thelwell, then it’s out of his hands and passed on to Kenwright, and then it’s passed on to Moshiri himself and they all have to agree before Moshiri signs off the deal. People need to seriously cut Thelwell some slack here. It’s clear as day he’s doing his job well with the players he’s identified the last couple of years, Mudryk, Kudus, Toure, to name but a few. The ID profile of the players he’s identifying is very good, not his fault the idiots above him don’t back him and can’t complete deals that he’s set up.

Hi Kev, any timeline on this portugeezer signing?

In all seriousness I agree with what you are saying about prospect profile etc Maupey / Delli seemingly outliers

Season about to start , points thrown away , but it's ok because the window's still open

Would you rather we signed some of the dross forwards weve been linked to as theyre cheap and easy (Maupay) ?

Or would you prefer we use the whole window to try for the best we can get (El Bilal / Ekitike / Chermiti) ?

Not quite true...lets see how it ends up.

4 windows, dom got cropped early-ish in the 2021/22 season IIRC.

Yes Kev wasn’t here for part of it. Still 4 windows though.

Agree; but the risk is still there...

DCL might stay fit the whole season and Haaland could be out for half the season.

S%&$ happens...

Come on Zat you're an intelligent fella you know the choice isn't binary. You're better than that.

He has a fantastic eye for strikers so far tbh, yeah.

Great track record of getting good ones, for the appropriate money too.
