Looking at the team the other day and you'd only really need to change Keane. Otherwise Harrison is on loan and Myko many would upgrade but other than those 3 its pretty good.

With players getting fit you can we scrambled a decent window together under horrible conditions. Hopefully he continues adding to the structure of the club aswell, with new roles, appointments and strategies.
We have a new Head of European scouting incoming.

Shame we couldn’t close on Jack Clark because he looks a decent prospect. Would have balanced the flanks nicely with McNeil Danjuma and Harrison. At least we’re looking in the right places now rather than flashing 70 mill for Zaha then panick buying Iwobi.

I think its good to see Dobbin as a 4th choice for the time being.

Yeah it opens a gap up no doubt to develop Dobbin and Dyche seems to like him. That’s what we need to do more of when you see the few Gordon went for and what Branthwaite could probably be sold for as well. Calvert Lewin became an international because of the opportunities he had with us afforded by us not having a recognised striker after Lukaku

No money…why is it so difficult for people to understand? The transfer for a person is the overall money you spend on someone…the amount of money you need to pay up front is a cash flow issue (are you an owner of a business because if you are you would understand this)

We have no cash flow (reported by multiple media outlets) so we are in a phase we are trying to ‘buy now, pay later‘. Clubs will not have this. That’s why the lack of transfer activity….surely the Beto deal indicates this? Udinese was a rare occurrence where they were prepared to wait for payment until next year
Im afraid that it has to be said....some people are thick. Same ones who believe what they read in the Daily Mail or that the earth is flat. Problem is no amount of intelligent debate will ever change their mind.

If there was no money (we know there were bids in for Gnonto) then thats one thing but we dont know if there will be money after a takeover.

Im confident the Gray and Iwobi deals werent factored in + Gomes/Gana and others may be moved on in Jan.

I think the other posters were talking about money available now - as in cash flow. The Gnonto bid may have been the same as Beto - 'we'll pay you loads but over the next X years not now' which isn't much use to other clubs who also have cash flow issues.

Similar thing in the other direction for Gray and Iwobi - if those clubs are paying us down the line then we still have limited cash now - even if financial planning for the next 3 years looks relatively healthy given deferred incoming fees.

We can borrow against those incoming fees... but who is going to lend to us and at what interest...777 I guess.

Assume there will be no money after the takeover and then you wont be dissapointed.

The term ‘no money’ is a catchall phrase though….we could bid £100m as long as the selling club allows us to pay over 25 years. (Extreme example I know) and subsequent financial news has got even worse since the close of the window to the extent that we are now led to believe we can barely afford to keep the lights on hence the framing of the 777 deal as being the alternative to administration. We simply did not have the money to be competitive.
