The term ‘no money’ is a catchall phrase though….we could bid £100m as long as the selling club allows us to pay over 25 years. (Extreme example I know) and subsequent financial news has got even worse since the close of the window to the extent that we are now led to believe we can barely afford to keep the lights on hence the framing of the 777 deal as being the alternative to administration. We simply did not have the money to be competitive.

What really underlined it for me was, once MSP had loaned us £100m for the stadium, we have to get a further £20m from 777 - and that was after the transfer window so probably just for operational costs.

Other clubs and banks must be looking at us as a credit risk right now - we can offer whatever for their players but there must be some doubt that we are good for it.

Seemingly Moshiri has no access to money so he's a busted flush.

Whether it is 777 or somebody else the club clearly needs a benefactor / guarantor.

In those sorts of circumstances this summer, Thelwell and team have done ok.

Maupay is still rubbish of course.

If that was the case we would have made a big sale or two...or at least allowed Gomes to move to Fenerbahce for £4.3mil and saved his £120k a week wages

The lack of quality in the final third is crazy...any quality premier league players, and we would have been out of sight very quickly in that first half...

Our players mostly have quality.

Aside from Gana and Young theyre mid table at worst.

The issue is the long ball nonsense and bypassing midfield...no tactics just charge in the box and wait for long balls.

So then we dont play Beto or doucoure we use McNeil central and Danjuma + Harrison wide.

We dont use young or gana at all. Ever.

Pickford, Tarks, B'waite, Onana, Garner, DCL are Prem level players easily. You can reasonably add others to the list.
