Thelwell has done a decent enough job if you consider our financial restrictions and ability to pay the initial check. But does not absolve some important free signings to have been made immediately after last season.
My only gripe with Thelwell is that the only money we paid is a loan fee for Danjuma (He'll come good, no doubt), and the Gray saga. If that ~3m was the difference between us getting Gnonto through, it would be a big oopsie from Thelwell.

He's not - he's "experienced", and Dyche values that over literally anything else.
He's been a shadow of an average footballer for 2 years and we're actually paying him money AND starting him in games lol

No. Dyche is the ultimate pragmatist. He wants to win and Young is a part of that plan.

Dyche is a slug who values favourites and 'experience' over anything. The pragmatist is and always has been an absolute lie being sold to people.

Thelwells essentially bought two players during the window, with a third having the option to be a permanent in Harrison. With Chermiti being a young project for the future, the reality is Beto will be the one hes judged on, and to a lesser extent Harrison if the move becomes permanent with whatever release clause he has. I suspect though no one will end up caring about Beto if DCL is fit the whole season, with Harrison being a more important regular player for the team.
