I agree mate I think he’s done well so far considering all the problems we’ve had and yeah I can imagine football people will be running the football side of things from now on.I think he's done quietly very well mate. Late January when the books come out will be interesting.
If anything given the vacuum, you look to your DOF now, with all the Chaos of the field you want the football Dept to be stable.
Working.
One thing at at time. This is Everton.Does this mean he’s not working now, as according to this post he can’t work and speak at the same time?
That and we’re el brasicoReally enjoyed listening to that podcast im always suspicious when people talk the talk, but hes beginning to produce outcome.
One example i fund interesting was Brathwaite and his development, the meeting with PSV, the conscious decision not to sign Coady or give Mina a new deal on the basis that it would block Brathwaite. Here we are reaping the benefits, when many would have went the other way.
That and we’re el brasico
That is an interesting point though, just hope he’s stays long enough to justify it, but then I guess if he’s sold there should be enough money swilling around to replace him.
Listened myself...was a good listen. Was actually a brilliant listen mate, particularly around younger players, there is an age that comes that if a player hasn't had an opportunity at first team football - the chances of them making diminish hugely statistically, explains the likes of Simms and Cannon and bucks the trend of keeping the likes of Penno until retirement. He pulled a fair bit of finance from selling academy lads
It’s an interesting juxtaposition with bringing Chermiti in for relatively big money then as he’d only had about 3 appearances for their first team iiirc. Clearly also feels a 19y/o (20 in May) can have significant room to improve too.
