It takes years to sort an academy out - those players have to be attracted to the club and signed young and given a pathway

Everton have had to divert funds away from the academy due to PSR to concentrate on the first team

The guy has had to maintain a Premier League Squad with a budget of about -80m. We still have PSR problems. Our loan slots are full of seriously injured players. I doubt he's getting a new contract in the summer because the Friedkins will have their own ideas, but he's had an impossible job since he got here.
