2017/18 Kieran Dowell

Should have been loaned out last year IMO.

I just love watching the kid play. I think people are way to harsh on him "drifting out of games". That's because we're watching the game with the sole purpose of watching him play. Very few footballers in the world impact a game every second of the 90 minutes. The Arsenal game was a great example. Clearly the strategy was to play long to Brereton and not play through Dowell in the middle, so how is he going to "appear" to be involved a lot when they are bypassing him. But when he did, he made good things happen, with the exception of one misplaced pass in his own half in the 2nd half I believe.

To me it's so blindingly obvious the lad has rare vision and skill. If this was Spain they'd be nurturing him and building him up and encouraging him to be even better. In England, it seems it's a competition to see who can slag players off the most and find criticisms in everything they do.

Fair play Dawg.

He's got a tidy bit of clever in his game - something sorely missing from this Ebepton lot. Need to clear out some of the MF dandruff before next season and give him a full run at securing a place in the side. Methinks this loan has done him some real good and considering Forest's spot in the table, he'll be used to playing for a mid-table side.

Great point that

I’d recall him if I’m honest and try and get the Klassen money back

What's the point? This is the thing I don't get with these recall shouts; we realistically have absolutely nothing to play for now except 7th. Are we recalling him because we desperately need him to move above Leicester and Burnley? No.

Just let him stay there and develop.

There's an argument to say bring Galloway back as he's just being wasted. Arrange anither loan or keep as back up. All the rest of our loanees are getting decent game time and picking up great experience. No need to do anything

Yeh Galloway should come back (like he did last January) and play for the U23's to see if he still has anything to offer. At the minute not many will cough up for him in the summer if he's sold.
