How do you come by that mate? Dowell's the best passer of a ball at the club (that's not saying much I know). Most of his passes are one touch.
Apologies, yes wasn’t suggesting his relaxed style in attack was a bad thing, in fact he reminds me a little of chris waddle who was great to watch. It’s in terms of the high energy pressing in defence that may not lend itself to silva’s style

That's something he'd need to change in his game I agree. But you don't need to be Gana or McCarthy to play a pressing game. It's as much positional sense and reading the game as it is running round like a headless chicken.

Did you see the U21 game today?. Dowell played in a much deeper role than usual and his defensive work was pretty good.

I expect Dowell to be best of the three. I dont expect Lookman to make it. Hope he does of course but he justs reminds me of so many talented wingers we have seen who never have the substance to be true ninety minute players. Talented he is, Ryan Giggs he is not.

Tbh mate its Dowell who I don't think will make it. The lad needs to effect the game more. He just disappears for huge portions of the match sometimes the whole match. Doesn't seem to have the work ethic for the premier league and evertonions gave lukaku a dogs life for being lazy, the lad will get torn apart at goodison if he doesn't pull his finger out. He's got a wand of a left foot and I really want the lad to come good but I can see him ending up as a lower half premiership player.

Lookman on the other hand is electric the lad really does have that x factor about him. Can see him Going far, he's quick and strong and has you on the edge of your seat every time he gets the ball. Reminds me of del in that respect apart from lookmans not a complete tart who's out of breath 10 minutes into a match.

Well, truth is we never know in advance. Its about blend as well. Best thing would be they are all brilliant!

I thought he had a decent game yesterday. Used the ball well, he was able to spot and then pick good forward passes.

Negative side is the defensive side of his game; seemed to lack urgency in pressing the ball (which was partly down to England’s style: drop off to halfway when losing possession), but also his 1v1 defending.

However, it’s to be expected of a young player. He can hardly be considered the finished article yet but there is definitely talent there. Depending on who we bring in, I think he’ll get a good amount of game time under Silva in one of the CM positions.

And you're also a keen veiwer of Forrest and Leipzig I take it? Or do you just think that the German league and the championship are just better leagues then the premier league?

Tom Davies is a lot further along in his development then the other two hence why he has been playing games at everton and the other two were loaned out. Dowell isn't even rated by the Forrest fans might I add.

I do believe that lookman will be the better player out of the three and think the best thing for them is to stay at everton with a coach that actually wants to coach them and get the best from them in defined rolls. Rather then basically throwing them onto the pitch and telling them to run about.

At the minute though there's only davies who is playing at a premier league level. Last season doesn't count for much in my opinion everyone was crap apart from pickford. Might as well say lookman s further along his development then Rooney.

Why not just look at them as being 3 players who've shown great talent but inconsistency?

All u21 players for England and will be getting games for us next season, they've all 'made it'.

Forest fan I know says Dowell was the standout player before he seemed tired + they changed manager. Thought hed go on to play for England.

I don’t think Forest handled Dowell at all well tbh. The Championship is a tough league, and you play Saturday Tuesday/Wednesday most weeks.

Dowell is a kid who hadn’t played anything close to a string of first team games in his young professional life. I get the temptation to keep him in because he was far and away their best player for the first quarter of the season, but they should have been much more careful with him and kept him in and out of matches.

It really was no surprise that it took its toll on him in the end. I’d have no qualms about starting him in some games next season and integrate him in and around the first team squad. He’s clearly a talented lad so let’s hope he’s very much part of what Brands and Silva have been speaking about, focusing on youth and bringing our youngsters in to the first team picture.

Yeah that's fair enough, think it's the best way to see it.

Really? I was down in Nottingham to visit family the other week and everyone I spoke to about him didn't seem that fussed on the lad. Same thing we've heard before got talent but no work ethic.
