Where did he go on loan to?Dave, whilst I was happy he was given a chance when Martinez went, he didn't light up those games.
Yeah, he was solid but Davies did more and look where he's at now.
Go and have a season at Forest, play well and we go again next summer. He's 19, plenty of time.
I personally dont think Dowell is even close to being ready at "this level", a loan would be utterly superb for the lad, he will either kick on or tread the John Paul Kissock road.
Yeah, toughen them up.
Hoo Rah!
I won't complain like.
We need a loan though, ffs.
...better to play for the first team when called on...like...erm...Davies last season, no?Better to play first team football than to sit and play against kids, no?
Mate Davies is miles ahead of him....better to play for the first team when called on...like...erm...Davies last season, no?
He's too good for the U23's now. Unsworth has done his job and he isn't getting in to our midfield any time soon.So it is the logical thing for him to move up a level.Championship regular football is the best option. That's not the point being made really is it?
Different era. Different club with a lot of stars ahead of him.Yanno that Beckham got loaned out for exactly that reason by possibly the greatest manager we've ever seen in the game?

...with a load of PL games under his belt, I wonder why that is?Mate Davies is miles ahead of him.
Nowt better than a bit of game time though Dave. And they're a good club with a high pedigree. Coulda been much worse for the kid. Like for instance, sitting on our bench, or playing Liverpoo reserves in the U23's league which he's already done. Championship is defo a step up. Ask any ex pro and they'll tell ya it's a tough league to get out of, but some good quality football. Some awfulness too I agree, but the kid has to learn.Yeah, toughen them up.
