Yeh he's talented, I like him. Was just confused why everyone buzzed over a pass like that haha.
Because the pass itself was sublime mate. Ok, the odd great pass and odd great goal doesn't get you a start at Everton, but that shouldn't detract from the pass itself. Seeing a bit of skill like that is as good as seeing a great goal or one of Stones' trademark slide tackles when he first broke into the team in my view. If it doesn't do it for you mate that's fine. But let us who do enjoy it bask in our praise of the lad.:)

As I said, it's not as if there's much else going on at the moment for us to get excited about.

Yeh we'll just have to agree to disagree on the definition of sublime.

TBH mate it was that view from behind that showed the fade on the ball and how much it bent into the run of the attacker. Just tried to watch it again to check my assessment but the video has been removed now sadly.

It certainly wasn't just a forward pass into space mate. Had it been done by the majority of other players I'd probably agree, but we both know that the lad does have that ability in his locker, he just doesn't do it enough to justify regular first team starts at the moment.

The combination of speed of thought in recognizing the run, and getting the ball in the channel with the proper weight and backwards spin was sublime. As you say he actually had it bend back into th path of the runner so he didnt break stride on goal.

It was class, Sunday League notwithstanding.
