Transfer Rumour Kieran Trippier

I think as long as we are not getting screwed on the deal, its decent. Hes on £120k a week so even if we are just covering his wages thats over £6m for the year.
He is certainly an upgrade on what we have in the FB position and overs something in the final 3rd as well

One year loan deal for a club that never uses it's second domestic loan spot, at the weakest position by miles in the squad, yes.

Trippier despite being on the slide is massively better than what we had e currently - which is this weekend mason holgate and the game after Ashley young, let that sink in before complaining.

As for everyone slating Thelwell, Jesus, not sure what you expect when we clearly have hardly anything to spend and about 5 positions that realistically need strengthening.

Yup. The phrase "beggars can't be choosers" comes to mind for some Moshiri-shaped reason.

Again I don’t know where this myth that he can play left back has come from, he’s never played there in his club career and whenever the idiot selected him at LB for England he was embarrassingly bad and upset the balance of the whole team.
True, but over the years we've played a plethora of players at left-back who should never have played there!

Yup, Thelwell literally has a very limited budget, what he is avoiding doing is bringing in old players who we are then stick with for 3-4 year contracts, the permanent desks are being used to bring in players for the now and the future, the short term one year desks are being used to plug gaps.

It's the only way we can do it really.

A guy who walks into our starting 11 with only a salary commitment for the season? I don't really see the issue here.

Yes we'd all like a long term solution, but we are desperate in this spot to have a contributor step right in, and have no cash at the moment.
