He was at Oxford last season but got a knee injury in January which cut the loan short

Talking to a Newcastle fan earlier. Said he was very good last season until the rumours about his personal life started to emerge. After that, he was error prone and a liability. Maybe he needs a change of scenery.

I’m not really bothered by the age so much as most. Athletes primes are extending longer and longer. Once the injuries start to pile up and the mental goes, that is usually when they hit a brick wall and that is my concern with Trippier. Coleman wasn’t the same after the leg snap. Gomes wasn’t the same after his leg snapped. Mirallas wasn’t the same after his hammy’s tore 30 times. The list can go on and on. Hopefully he needs a change of scenery and he can find it here because we are desperate to fill a void.
