Think its more that some were never happy when we signed him or didn't rate him at all, so first chance they wanna say told you so, tbf last night he was bloody shocking, but if hes like that still in December i will moan, not after his first proper game

Liverpool went to extra time at home to league one Notts County.

These lower league sides are always potential banana skins. Anyone who thinks it's as simple as 'we're in a higher division, so we should win 10-0 without breaking a sweat' is being a plank. They often play out of their skin, and the mental attitude for our players is bound to be different.

We lost to Brentford the other year, another league 1 team, and plenty of players had poor games then. Yakubu, Fellaini, Baines, Coleman all started, does that mean they're gash? No, it means, as with any signing you wait and singular performances give you very little basis for anything.

People have already made their minds up about certain signings, even the manager, and are just waiting to say I told you so. The problem is you can't say that until at least a season. Wait, give the players time to settle and the manager time to make his mark. I thought after years of Moyes' drab football and complete lack of evolution we'd have developed more patience as a fanbase.
 
Moyes' games were always higher tempo...that was mainly due to us running round pressing like [Poor language removed] all over the park and throwing tackles in left right centre. Also we didnt keep the ball as well when we had it.

This season, we keep it better, we dont harry as much when we havent got it and the games have slowed dramatically. Almost to a spanish level you might say...

Now Barcelona we are not. But we aint got a squad worth hundreds of millions. Things take time

Spot on mate. I also think this divide amongst Blues at the moment is largely down to aesthetics and perhaps a cultural one also.

Our attacking play was equally slow, though.

However with time I'd hope our attacks speed up as players get used to each other and Martinez' approach.
 
People are getting very anxious, as am i, because we've played 3 games and drawn all 3, all against weaker teams.
It's definitely too soon to panic, because once Martinez gets this style working we could really be a very exciting team to watch.
But a comfortable win couldn't come sooner to just settle the nerves. Also a goal by any of our strikers. We just need one of our 3 strikers to look like they're in any sort of form.
Let's hope Cardiff is this game.

The best club side in football history - Guardiola's Barca, combined technically brilliant passing possession football, with extremely high tempo pressing of the opposition when the ball was lost.

Bayern did exactly the same last season (maybe to an even higher tempo than Barca in their pomp)

Merely looking to aimlessly keep the ball is not a successful tactic.
