That league cup match, he missed three sitters. He takes the hat-trick sitter crown from Stuart Barlow versus them lot when Rosenthal scored in the last minute.
 
I just don't understand the levels of abuse he's getting-it's out of proportion and you'd think it was personal. I don't know what he was bought as but to me he's just a back-up striker. I'm more concerned about who the main striker is going to be. If Kone gets 10 goals in all comps next season, I'll be reasonably satisfied. He's not meant to be our saviour or anything like that. Just someone to give the other striker(s) a break and play in the Europa when we're already 5-0 up from the first leg:)

Lots of players have poor starts and come good.

Took Steven Naismith a while to get going.

To be honest, if some people in here are quick to slag Lukaku off we really should be burning effigies of Kone to make it proportional.

Other players get much worse criticism than kone..

Naismith was getting played on the wing last season, the chance in form happened when moved in a more central position.

I still have an open mind on Kone, have not seen enough of him yet. But its not been a good start.
 

....I reckon he could've made the difference in us getting top4, I really do. My view is that his impact will be polar, sometimes brilliant sometimes awful, but he's the type who can make a difference to games in which we might be struggling. He's still unproven but I think he'll add value to the squad and give RM something different.
