Kone Signs on 3 Year Deal

Give him a chance as he was good at Wigan and after Ramadam in summer he wasn't eating etc (sounds daft for an athlete but was mentioned at the time). As RM said on the Followtonians interview the injury was career threatening so he could have been playing in a lot of pain as he played and missed that open goal and that was it for the season.
Hopefully he will come back ok and a goal in his comeback game will do him a power of good and like Naismith he'll be a vital player. Confidence is everything for a striker and even a couple of spawny goals will get him up & running.

It's alright lads he'll only be 31 when he comes back. Not even reached his prime yet.

People underestimate the impact bringing on a pacey and powerful striker in the last 20 minutes of games where Lukaku was knackered might have had.

Clearly not who we want to be first choice but he would have been a good option on the bench. Sadly an unpredictable injury robbed us of that. Hopefully he can make an impact next season.

He's a very good player - honestly - 11 PL goals last season, half again in assists, not only that the pace outlet he gives in terms of counter attacking and movement playing of the shoulder will add another dimension to us, I rate the lid highly - even before he signed, defo has a big part to play next season!

I thought he was class at wigan based on only a couple of games and some highlights i'd seen of him. Then i saw him play in a few games for Everton and i nearly vomited. Hopefully he'll come good, but so far i've been thoroughly unimpressed

The Everton website player profiles described him as a target man , confusing as I always thought he was a pacey player/winger type espiecally when he played for PSV.
what the hell is a target man these days...

Only need to look at Naismith lids before we start making snap judgements of Joseph Kone 2012 x

Military chiefs said Caesar Achellam, a major general in Kony’s outfit of about 200 fighters, was held in an ambush in neighbouring Central African Republic.

Achellam had been armed with an AK-47 rifle and eight rounds of ammunition. He was being detained with his wife, a young daughter and a helper.

The military, which has an American-backed force hunting Kony full-time, said the capture of Achellam would encourage other fighters to abandon the rebels. ‘He is a big fish. His capture is definitely going to cause an opinion shift within the Lord’s Resistance Army,’ said a spokesman for the Uganda People’s Defence Force.

Achellam, who was paraded before the media, was walking with a limp which he attributed to an old wound.

He was returning from the Democratic Republic of Congo when he walked into the Ugandan soldiers’ ambush.

The military said it had been on his trail for a month.

Analysts said Achellam was a close ally of Kony, who has evaded capture since he was indicted for war crimes in 2005 by the international criminal court.

Social media has been lighting up with a new campaign aiming to make Joseph Kony "famous".

Hope you aren't confusing the 2 mate...although the way some people have been slagging Arouna off, you'd think it was the same person:p

My main problem with Kone is that if he didn't have blonde hair he'd be less conspicuous to pick up for his markers in a game.
