I just hope we can sign a few more players the Moyes FC fans hate...then they might take the logical step and go and support their hero at Man United and leave us in peace.

People like will not be happy unless Everton go into administration/get relegated.

ALWAYS looking for negatives even if it means making them up. There is NO rumour about not being able to afford Kone, only waffle spread by manics depressives like you.
 

I don't mind Kone, I also think Jelavic will come good next season. He has that knack of being in the right place at the right time, his confidence was shot last season for some reason. But look at the goals he scored when he first arrived, they were not luck at all. He is an old fashioned poacher, give him the right service he will score.

I think he will do well under Martinez, I have faith in him to come good again.
 
i suppose the concern is we operate by buying younger players who we can then sell on at a profit. IF we sign Kone he is better than what we have but isnt great value for 2/3 seasons. Meaning our future transfer budget will be affected.
 
By this logic, Baines is also worth F' all.

Last season we lacked depth in key areas and it caught up with us. With Jelavic misfiring, We had NO forwards of note and had to rely on playing Fellaini there. With Gibson out, at times we had to play Neville beside Osman and they physically couldn't cope. When Heitinga was costing us points, we had to persist with him.

We need options.

IMO, if he isn't sold on this window, he has until end of Decemeber to prove he's worth keeping hold of.

He was atrocious last season. Truly shocking.

But I'm not disagreeing with that at all. Baines has contributed even more, but he was signed young and could now be sold for a massive profit.

With that money, a replacement left back of genuine quality could be signed as a replacment, along with additions in other areas.

It's not rocket science is it that the best policy for a club with very little recources, is to buy young players with resale value.

All the signings Moyes has made in the last 4 or 5 years, has come from the sales of Lescott, Rodwell and Arteta. Thats 46 million right there.

Not much can be re invested by losing the likes of Martyn, Distin and Phil Neville!!

There are some clubs who are fortunate enough to be in a position to buy 30 year old players for millions of pounds and write that money off.

We're not one of them.
