Kinnear obviously called him cone or racially abused him
"Hello, is that the agent of A Koone?"
*line goes dead*
- Joe Kinnear
£50k is high for Kone bet he's doubling his wage by leaving. Don't think he's worth that wage.
Also this from Wigan forum not too long ago. I mean it's not much in and of itself, but in context could mean that he's more likely to stay in North West.
That particular fan used it as evidence to suggest he wouldn't leave Wigan, but given the distances between Wigan and Liverpool that's unlikely - but Wigan and Newcastle? Much more likely.
That's bloody 2.5m/yr.
However in perspective, this kind of deal will have to be concluded at this kind of wages, especially at the increased # of sky money.
Somehow I see us as the main victim of increased TV revenues.
As is every other prem club!!!!!Mad isnt it. Say a 3 yr deal, thats £7.5m plus £5m fee, for perhaps 12-18 goals a season. Nothing against Kone BTW, just an observation that if Sky goes pop we are all well fecked.

No worries, as more than half in the Prem will have to declare themselves in Admin, and write off all "other operational costs" thru the Football Creditors rule.
Better, say, we fear the formation of a European Super League. Maybe we should then form an alliance with the club across the park as their minor league team...
