...are we already stronger than at the beginning of the window? I appreciate this boy isn't ready to play just yet, but I reckon we are stronger. I suspect the dealing isn't done.

I see extensively loaning as a cheap, conning way of doing well in the league, something we wouldn't think twice about taking the p*ss out of another club for. I don't like it one bit.

how long is he out for? We cant rely on lukaku for another 4-5 games on his own the lad will be burnt out, really dangerous game being played here by Martinez and Kenwright FFS we are 1 injury in ST and CM positions away from no striker and Osman

How is this his fault. Martinez wants a player, he gets the player knowing full well he's injured and how long he'll be out for and made the decision to proceed.

Pack it in

Not really. Our chances of 4th could be over by the time he plays if lukaku continues as he has been recently.

Really think that ship has sailed already. I can't see us anywhere near 4th from no on. Maybe we'll get a good cup run or finish high enough to get into the Europa league. Big ask of course, be should we win that we'd automatically qualify for CL the following season.

if he had funds available for both windows he could very well spend, not his fault he has to save what he has made from sales for the summer

your the sort of guy mate who would blame moyes, Martinez, *insert next 5 managers names* for failing to bring in transfers/get top 4 whilst ignoring the 1 common denominator lurking over all of them like a bad smell whilst investing nought in the club.

At 23, he is not a youngster who is loaned out to get experienced, he has been playing top flight football in Europe since 2008 (including Champions League)

Falcao out for the rest of the season and Monaco still sent him out on loan

Basically, he was bought by the owner and not the manager, the owner bought him to help Anzhi with their financial problems

I think he might be here for more than the rest of this season

What's the problem? When a club buys players they pay for ownership of their playing rights.
In loaning a player a club pays a smaller fee for temporary ownership of their playing rights.
It's the same thing. There's no moral difference.
