Erm, quite staggered at all of this negativity considering we've just got a decent signing over the line here...

You cant win with some,we sign no one people moan,we sign someone people moan,you go round in circles with some they are never happy,on the player himself i cant even think of how good etc he is as i cant even think of him at all,and only remembered that goal in the youtube video when it was put here-i stand by any player we sign.

It's more because Martinez has just said he won't play the next 6 league games and we won't be getting anyone else. We don't know if that's true but it's worrying if it is really.

I know about all that, but i was saying if he only had limited funds (as doug was saying) why waste a portion of it on an injured player?

Martinez has said multiple times the club has money.

He has said several times he'd rather spend in the summer unless a proper deal comes along. For someone he wants and the right terms.

Indeed, considering we've had two great transfer windows, are one point off fourth and have a winnable fourth round tie in the FA cup tomorrow. There's a reason I've felt much better about Everton by going on forums far less, it's a proper buzz kill, when you just scroll through negative people making unnecessary and bizarrely negative comments in the middle of what's a great season for us under a very switched on manager who is not putting any limits on our potential.

pretty much this. i understand there is need for a backup striker down the road but the need is really pressing NOW as well. Its just a bit worrying that they waited so long for this to go through and the player wont be able to help the team out for 5-6 weeks and nothing else is apparently in the works to strengthen the team now.
