Lacina Traore

Occured to anyone else that Martinez thought that McGeady and Deulofeu had a better chance of changing the game?

Only if he's insane.

Haven't seen Traore play myself, but McGeady and Del are both quick players who can make something out of nothing. People are assuming that Traore must be fast/strong because he's big and, dare I say it, black? Maybe, he thought that out of the three, McGeady was the closest to full fitness, and out of Del and Traore, on had played in our system and was arguably fitter and even better than the other. Don't see the fuss myself like, would have kept Naisy on, and taken Mirallas off though. Think he's better up front but I can see why Martinez mixed it up.

Serious? 72 hours could make all the difference.

And, like I said, if he can come off the bench wednesday?

So bobby put him on the bench on sunday as someone who could come on agaianst spurs? is that right becuase if he was,nt ready why was he on the bench as a sub?

We needed men in the box not men outwide, is the point. Martinez had to see that and if Traore was capable of playing he would have been brought on.

The game was decided by a striker. We had one on the bench, a named sub who was passed fit for the game.

Yes, agreed, and we had that with Naismith. Also Kev can, and did for the last section of the match, play there. Just think that his difference may be overstated, what if his touch had been terrible? The mistake I think Martinez made was starting Osman. A couple of good turns and one shot in the first 5-10 mins then nothing. Traore wasn't the mistake, Barkley not starting was.

We needed an actual striker, not the hodgepodge RM put out there. Truly bizarre substitutions.
