Transfer Rumour Lamine Kone

True but Moyes was the manager who didn't want to play Barkley when he was younger but would plays loads of vets like ...

Neville, Osman, Distin, Neill, Saha, Hibbert, Stubbs, etc.

He'll play youngsters he thinks are good enough but it takes more for Moyes to field youngsters than most managers. If he's got a seasoned pro he'll most likely play them in front of a youngster, even if the youngster has more potential.

I think he's playing McNair, Love and Januzaj as he's got limited squad options at present until he can add players to the squad.

Barkley was 17 and off the back of a huge injury, and still got game time. Even now he's not being consistent and he's 22. Moyes' mistreatment of Barkley is a complete myth in my opinion. Ross needed discipline, three years of having his ego pampered by Martinez has done nothing for him.

Moyes did not just field veterans, he played players who were in their prime. Koeman seems to be targeting similar stature of players. Martinez treated this place as a finishing school for other clubs prospects.

Met one on holiday once. First think he said when he heard my accent (I'm originally from merseyside) are you a red or blue? When I said blue, he said that's alright then cos he hated the kopites. Not nearly as much as he heated the deluded Geordies though! Top lad had some really good football discussions with him.

They generally get along with us, because fundamentally they have a similar nobhead neighbour syndrome going on

I'm not entirely sure what's implausible about it. Moyes and Bain have been in the job three weeks,
Our owner, manager and DOF are all relatively new to the club and we're clearly very active in the transfer market as today's signing shows.
That hasn't stopped them, as far as we're led to believe, negotiating a new contract with Lukaku as we're determined to keep him from the clutches of another club. I can just imagine what Lu's agent would say if we told him we'd begin negotiations the day after the window closes when he could no longer use a bid as a means of extracting the most favourable contract terms.

And I remember glen Johnson in the year they nearly won the league proclaiming everyone in the country wants Liverpool to win the league, implying Liverpool where people's 'second club'. I've met and known city, Chelsea, blackburn, boro and spurs fans and none of them wanted the kopites to win it. Back to Kone, really want this lad to sign, now yannick is signed, we can turn our full attention to getting this over the line.

Wow, he played him about four games in 3 years.just because he played him once at 17 doesn't mean he trusted him. If he had one more year here, Barkley would have been sold to the championship or league 1

Your situation is incomparable - Koeman has had the whole of pre-season, your new owner took over in February. Our CEO and manager have both been in post less than a month, and we currently have 13 fit senior pros. Kone's contract isn't even going to be in top 10 priorities until the transfer window closes. At least five more players need to be brought in at SAFC between now and then - probably more.

Which ultimately is why Moyes will sell if he thinks the price is good enough mate, that situation he will see a 20m sale as a way of getting in 3 new players

We should know as that was his MO for years with us

To be fair it was his MO because it had to be.

If he wants three, it'll need to be more than £20m. Prices are through the roof.
