Transfer Rumour Lamine Kone

He will get bargains in mate, if you are shopping on a tight budget you really couldn't have a better manager for that

I think we are, but there is still some money there. We got the same bumper TV money as everyone else, and 10-11 players are off the wage bill now.I think we will probably be the most active club in the market between now and 1 Sept.

Hope so, from what i saw you need a good 5-6 in who buy into the Moyes ethos of hard work etc, pretty sure he wouldn't have taken the job if he didn't believe he could get you firmly mid table though myself, as really this is his last chance at a big club (yeah historically i know but thats the same as us)

Loooolllll. I would get used to the phrase "we'll go with what we've got"

What's wrong with that?

Moyes has a lot of haters round these parts mate.

Im personally not 1 of them, hes a decent manager, especially and I mean this with respect, for clubs like yours who are on their arses.

He will get you hard to beat, sometimes it wont be pretty, but other times you will play some great football, he will make you compete again and he has a very good eye for a player, you will do ok under him mate.

I've picked that up and am surprised to be honest. Looking from the outside at where EFC were when Moyes arrived, and where you were when he left, I would have thought he'd be universally adored around these parts.

I think Moyes will do well at Sunderland, but as at Everton it will be gradual improvement.
I think he was happy to let Kone leave but was demanding Jagielka in return.
I think he may be slow to do business without Jagielka being involved.

Moyes was very popular at Everton and very few begrudged him leaving or joining Utd.
His behaviour while at Utd was where he left himself down. He was disrespectful towards the club
and in particular in his attempts to buy Everton players.

He said some pretty unsavoury things when he took over at United, belittled us as a club, some fans, rightfully, will never forgive that, plus he had started to lose a vast majority of the fanbase prior to him leaving. A lot, probably including me, thought he had hit a glass ceiling and it was probably best for everybody he left when he did.

But the main issue is suggesting we should just roll over when he came in for Baines and Felli.

I wish the man no ill feeling, he was just playing the game, I look back at his time mostly positively, he took us over when we were totally on our arse and he made us believe again, for that I will always be thankful.

Started managing down expectations and perceived as a yes man for the old regime. After a point, I imagine you lot want to be competing for cups rather than focusing year on year to getting to 40. But he is amazing at spotting underpriced talent and should stabilize you in top half. And for achieving that after Smith debacle, Toffees should be eternally grateful.

Your situation is incomparable - Koeman has had the whole of pre-season, your new owner took over in February. Our CEO and manager have both been in post less than a month, and we currently have 13 fit senior pros. Kone's contract isn't even going to be in top 10 priorities until the transfer window closes. At least five more players need to be brought in at SAFC between now and then - probably more.

Well you have come to the right place, we can swap you five for Kone, we have an ace forward worth £13 mill we got from Russia so the cold won't bother him, we've got a couple of Irish men, Sunderland love an Irish man, we have another forward who will save you the price of a shirt, he can use Kone's old one and I am sure we have a winger or two we can throw in.

For me it was the manner in which he left, hopping over to Man U and Fergis afew times when he was still manager of us, not good.
