Take it from an Italian speaker, me, that it's pronounced with short vowels and it's lasagne when you're talking about them so.....the lasagne were very nice (plural) but if you're talking about a plate of lasagna, then it's, well, 'un piatto di lasagna' - singular.

strange and nothing to get pedantic about but that's how an Italian would pronounce and talk about that lovely dish.

Emilia Romagna in the north east of Italy is the home of lasagna.

I've been eating the Lasagne on and off for over 30 years at the Casa Italia on Stanley Street, it is still the same recipe.
I've traveled the world almost but this is still, in my opinion, the worlds finest lasagne.

Usually Lasagne Verdi , or Green Lasagne , assume from the Pasta variety used . End of useless - and very tenuous- fact re; Lasagne .
