Inspired me @Kurt. Used to smoke outside and new neighbours have moved in.They asked if I could smoe elsewhere.I agreed. Its not the same.............. which means it's just habit. So I am with you from tomorrow mate............but I am going cold.
I’ve done it before mate and stopped for 12 years so I know I can do it. Hope you can do it too my friend x

Cold turkey is the only way. I finally gave up over 30 years ago and, apart from the first 13 years being the worst (JOKE!) you'll wonder why you ever started the stupid havit in the first place. Best of luck and stick at it :celebrate:

Quit smoking after numerous attempts in 2011. On one occasion I used Zyban to stop. The tablets stop the addicted part of your brain but with odd side effects for me. I would wake up at 6:24 every day and couldn't get back to sleep so I bought a Playstation and kept myself amused until the wife woke up.

I'm a complete anti-smoker now and have perfected the look of distain and the tut that follows accidentally inhaling someones secondary smoke.

Plus now a packet of Regal is £17 its well worth giving up. Best of luck @Kurt.

Today’s the day guys, my last day as a smoker. Set a quit date which is tomorrow, got my patches and an inhaler gizmo to help me through the first couple of weeks but hopefully I’ll manage it. I stopped previously for 12 years but stupidly started again 2 years ago but have decided to now kick the habit for good. Not gonna be easy as I love having a smoke in the morning with my brew but health and stuff has to come first as my 50’s are slowly creeping up on me.
I'm coming up to a year off the bastards.
Still have my few spliffs a day but feel so much better for not having the 15 or so ciggies I used to get through.

Stick at it pal.
Need you around to give abuse to. Be lost without you 😘

Is that right £17 quid? Unbelievable. I quit well over two years ago. The Mrs stopped at the same time and can’t get me head round it’s would now cost us almost £40 per day, couldn’t afford it now.
