Went to watch Christopher Robin last night, despite the absolutely terrible reviews it’s been getting.
My god, never listen to critics. It’s an uncomplicated little film that has a really simple message at the core of it. One point where both me and my missus were trying to stealthily wipe tears away. It’s not a full on kids film, but I think that’s half the charm of it and why it really landed for me.
Prometheus. Let down by the number of unprofessional drongoes sent out on such a mission. Scientists? my arse.
yes, I've joined the xenomorphic dots (i.e where 'alien 1979' evolved from), but Prometheus was a flawed prequel due to it's WTF (i.e.I hated it the first time I saw it, but having watched it many times since, I really like it now, as I can appreciate what he was trying to do with it.
Fassbender is fantastic in it, but I do agree with you, that there was no need for the likes of Rafe Spall`s character and a couple of others.
The ending lets it down too.
Arrival..what a load of over-egged ennui
zzzzzzzzzzzzz
yes, I've joined the xenomorphic dots (i.e where 'alien 1979' evolved from), but Prometheus was a flawed prequel due to it's WTF (i.e.) personnel. Covenant was pretty good in ameliorating the shortcomings of Prometheus, and enabling taxonomic (for want of another 'scientificintity' in a Sci Fi world) ascription.
But never mind all that...I am a bit all over the shop in where to put my dosh this weekend. Both us and Bournemouth are making just under 40% odds to win. Our record down there is cack...what are your thoughts?
I think I'll bet on a different game...this one's too tricky to call (although I suspect they'll score a very late goal to win it...they often do.Score draw is a safe bet ?
