Last Film You Watched

Happy End

Great black comedy about the ignorance of the French upper middle class. Who deal with their problems and ignore the refugee camp right by them.

Watched Avengers Infinity BolloxWar last night.

Meh, felt like half a film, it was everything I expected.

Just finished Deadpool 2, very, very funny I thought, a very enjoyable romp.
I enjoyed infinity war, haven't watched one of them dc/marvel in years

I`ve got both versions mate and I like them both equally.

I find that when I watch the one with out the voice over I`m much more aware of what`s going on around him, where as when I watch the one with the voice over, I feel as though I`m in Deckard`s head. ( if that makes sense).

I can`t tell you how much I love this film.

It is without doubt my favourite film and always will be.

I had a formative experience with Blade Runner: as a Star Wars kid of the 80's I got given a graphic novel version of the Bladerunner film: it was pretty much a scene-by-scene recreation of the movie, so quite adult in vibe, complete with accurate renders of Harrison Ford's Deckard (and the rest).

So I already knew the story by heart before finally watching the film for the first time I guess around the age of 10 or so. Also formative as even tho' I already knew Deckard I still expected Harrison Ford to betray a little of his Han Solo or Indy charm...yet it was never there. Blade Runner was thus the film which taught me what an actor was, that I can't watch any old Harrison Ford film and expect him to be a charming wisecracker in every role.

It's in my top 50 so also a big favourite: its biggest strength is how believable the world is. Its arguable weakness is a stagey pacing which creates a little distance...hard to describe, but that's maybe my own background of devouring the comic before watching the movie...often bookreaders find a given movie version oddly-paced (as they aren't in control of the pacing).‎

I haven`t read the graphic novel, but I`ve read the book it came from - " Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep ".

It`s the rarity, in that the film isn`t just better than the book, but blows the book completely out of the water.
