The Hobbit, weird feeling coming out of this one, it was good and I enjoyed it yet I found it boring in parts. I think part 2 will be better.

I watched Planes, Trains and Automobiles today.

Defo in top 20 films ever.

I miss John Candy EVERYDAY.

Watched the Hobbit. Decent. Nothing more nothing less. Kept wondering why Peter Jackson seemed to be cross-promoting LOTR during the movie (uh, we all saw it Peter). Something tells me that DelToro would have made the movie much more fun.

Also watched Starship Troopers, which strangely I'm liking more and more with successive viewings. The ridiculous media propanganda the movie has in it seems ahead of its time.

Just watched Spartacus, the original. Still a great film.

That was an era of great films, mainly of religious undertones. I'm not the most religious of people but to this day I love films like The Robe, Demetrius and the Gladiators, Quo Vadis, Spartacus, The Ten Commandements, Barrabas, The Greatest Story Ever Told, The Vikings, Anthony and Cleopatra, mainly starring Charlton Heston as the star and Tony Curtis. A great period for film making and those films are part of the reason why i'm doing a history degree at the moment.

Watch Paranorman the other day with my daughter , I enjoyed it a lil too much.

Starship Troopers is a brilliant film.
