Last Film You Watched

Noticed that myself, the viewings are really all over the gaff. Thought it looked ace on the trailer, just finding the time to fit it in

It`s almost like they don`t want people to see it, as it means going at a weird time in the afternoon or late at night.

I doubt very much whether I`ll get to see it as a result.

There`s a horror due out next week - Overlord, which has had very good reviews.

American soldiers stumble on a secret Nazi experimental lab, where they`ve created " un dead super soldiers ".

It`s getting the best write up for a horror, that I`ve read for a long time.

Yeah seen a trailer for that and though “oh how original another zombie film” but if it’s getting good reviews hopefully it’s bit different

See it on the biggest screen you can mate. The film uses different screen ratios and shooting techniques as the film progresses, from intimate Terence Malik style close up portraits to a full on IMAX moon landing which is absolutely breathtaking and incredibly tense. Like Apollo 13, you know they're gonna make it but you're still on edge. It's like an indie/arthouse biopic with mahoosive rockets and stuff. I can see why it's not everyone's cuppa like, but I think it's some feat myself.

Just got back from watching - The First Man.

I agree with everything you`ve said there.

Ryan Gosling was born to play these parts - Drive, Blade Runner 2049 etc, where the role is as much about what`s not said, as is said ( if that makes sense ).

I really liked the fact that the film was about the mission / the people involved and not the hype of USA v the Soviet Union.

As you say, it`s not for everyone, but I fully expect it to win a load of awards.

fun fact: i've never seen a film with him in it, despite his nice mug being everywhere these days. we do have 4 of his fillems on disk, so soon we'll be watching one of Drive, Pines, God or 2049, then we can join the swoon.

Annoyingly, not only is he good looking and shacked up with Eva Mendes but he's also very talented actor. I've not seen Pines or God but they're on the list. Drive is excellent as well as 2049.
